St Andrews Angling Club, set up in 1898 and a registered charity (SC049534), proudly celebrates its 122nd season at Cameron Reservoir in St Andrews, Fife, Scotland. Located on the A915 St Andrews to Leven road, the club leases Cameron Reservoir, offering exclusive fly-only fishing opportunities from both the bank and boat.
The reservoir is stocked with Brown and Rainbow trout, typically weighing between 1-2 lbs, although catches of 6-8 lbs are not rare. Fishing is available to both members and non-members, with day permits accessible. Booking is straightforward – just send a text or email to the provided contact details.
In its commitment to enhancing the fishing experience, the club recently acquired a new wheely boat named "Cameron Wheely”, thanks to support from the Wheely Boat Trust and other local organisations. This boat provides improved access for wheelchair users, enabling them to fully enjoy their time on the water.
Currently, the club is working on upgrading its facilities to better accommodate the new wheely boat. Plans include constructing a new jetty, funded by a £9,600 grant from the National Lottery Fund. The second phase of this project will involve building a boat shed to cover the jetty.
