Experience the best way to explore Port Fairy with a Stand-Up Paddleboard Lesson & Tour. This activity is suitable for all ages and is easier than you think. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, Go Surf School's professional instructors will guide you through the basics and take you on a scenic paddleboard tour.
The lessons and tours are available daily from late December throughout the summer holidays. Go Surf School also offers weekend sessions in December, February, March, and April. If you're a group of four or more, you can enjoy this activity all year round.
The adventure begins at Port Fairy's historic Moyne River, where participants start on calm waters. Paddling up the river towards the old lighthouse and then heading back to beautiful East Beach, this journey provides the opportunity to catch some small waves and enjoy the beach for two leisurely hours.
Participants don't need to worry about equipment as Go Surf School provides the best quality boards specifically designed for beginners. These stable and easy-to-balance boards guarantee an enjoyable experience. The school also offers warm, full-length wetsuits, but they may not be necessary during the summer months as most of the activity takes place above the water. For safety, rash vests and life vests are provided.
To make the most of this activity, participants should remember to bring their swimwear or board shorts, sunscreen, a towel, and a camera to capture all the fun. The meeting point is at the Sea Scouts shed on Griffith St. next to the boat ramp on Port Fairy's Moyne River. Please note that there are no bathrooms at this location.
