Stamford Badminton Club is excited to welcome players of all abilities and ages! To help keep everyone safe during these times, Jane, our organiser, has put a few simple measures in place.
Jane prefers if you can pay by bank transfer to minimise cash handling, but if needed, you can still pay in cash—just try to bring the exact amount.
Booking is easy and safe via email. Just email stamfordbc@gmail.com from 08:00 on Friday to book your spot for the next week’s sessions on Tuesday or Thursday. Jane will confirm your booking or let you know if you're on the waiting list. If your plans change, email again to free up the place for someone else.
Here’s the deal with our sessions:
- Tuesdays (19:30 – 21:30): Beginners, families, and social players
- Thursdays (19:30 – 21:30): Senior members and experienced juniors
We've got four courts and use a peg-board system to keep games interesting. For those looking for a little more competition, we’ve got mixed and men’s teams competing in local leagues.
Our fees are community-friendly:
- Main Season (Sept – Apr): £5 per night (adults), £2.50 (juniors), or season fees at £66/£33 (one night) and £132/£66 (two nights)
- Summer Season (May – June): £30 (adults), £15 (juniors)
We provide nets and shuttles, so just bring your racket (or borrow one of our spares).
If you’re keen to join, contact us first as we sometimes reach full capacity. But don't worry, there's a waiting list to ensure everyone gets a chance to play. Once confirmed, Jane would appreciate a bank transfer for payment.
