Stagecoach Performing Arts Yate is a leading drama school, dance school, and performing arts centre in Yate, New Zealand. The school specialises in providing high-quality training in singing, dancing, and acting to children aged 4 to 18. With a focus on building confidence and developing important life skills, Stagecoach Yate offers a safe and nurturing environment for young performers to grow and thrive.
Led by Principal Matt Broad, who has a wealth of experience in both musical theatre and drama, Stagecoach Yate is staffed by a team of highly trained individuals who are registered with child protection. All members of the team undergo Enhanced DBS checks to ensure the safety and well-being of every child.
For children aged 4 to 6, Stagecoach Yate offers the Early Stages programme. This programme provides 90 minutes of fun-packed performing arts-based learning, where young children can explore their creativity and develop their skills in singing, dancing, and drama. The Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools and serve as an easy step for children to transition to the next stage of their performing arts journey.
For children aged 6 to 18, Stagecoach Yate offers the Main Stages programme. Divided into age-appropriate groups, these classes provide three hours of high-energy training in singing, dancing, and acting. Whether a child is shy and apprehensive or full of talent, confidence, and energy, the Main Stages programme aims to nurture their potential and help them find their feet and voice in the performing arts.
In addition to weekly classes, Stagecoach Yate also offers holiday workshops where children can further enhance their skills and immerse themselves in intensive training. These workshops provide an opportunity for students to work on specific projects and productions, developing their abilities in a more focused and immersive setting.
Stagecoach Yate has been an integral part of the Bristol performing arts scene since 1995, and the school takes pride in its ongoing commitment to providing a fun and educational experience for children. Through their wide range of programmes and the dedication of their experienced staff, Stagecoach Yate aims to instil creative courage in every child and prepare them for a lifetime of artistic expression and personal growth.
