About

Stagecoach Performing Arts Swansea is a well-established dance, drama, and singing school located in Swansea, New Zealand. With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, they provide top-quality training in performing arts for young people aged 4 to 18 years. Their aim is to nurture and develop the potential of each student, helping them build confidence, creative courage, and a love for the performing arts that will last a lifetime.

Stagecoach Swansea offers weekly classes on Fridays and Saturdays, led by a dedicated team of teachers who create a fun and engaging environment for the students. These classes focus on singing, acting, and dance, allowing students to explore their imaginations, make friends, and have a great time while honing their skills. The school also offers performing arts exams to provide a structured framework for students to progress and achieve their goals.

Principal Kelly-Marie Williams leads the team at Stagecoach Swansea, ensuring that every student is in safe hands. All members of the team have been through Enhanced DBS checks, ensuring a safe environment for the students to learn and grow.

The school is proud of its achievements over the years. Students who attend extra rehearsals for special events have the opportunity to join the Stagecoach Performance Company, giving them a taste of what it's like to work as a mini professional theatre company. The Performance Company has had the honour of performing at prestigious venues such as Her Majesty's Theatre in London and Birmingham's Symphony Hall. In 2019, they performed at St.

David's Hall in Cardiff, and in 2022, they graced the stage of the Shaftesbury Theatre in London. Plans are also underway for a performance at the New Theatre in Cardiff in 2023.

Stagecoach Swansea also offers LAMDA exams to its students, with a track record of 100% success in achieving High Merits and Distinctions. Solo tuition is provided to prepare students for the exams in Verse & Prose, Acting, and Musical Theatre. The teachers at Stagecoach Swansea are passionate about bringing out the best in their students, and the outstanding results speak for themselves.

To make it even more convenient for students, Stagecoach has its very own online shoe store, Mydancestore, offering a fantastic assortment of Jazz shoes. It is recommended to order a whole shoe size bigger than the child needs, as Jazz shoes fit snugly.

Stagecoach Swansea offers two main programmes for different age groups. Early Stages classes are designed for young people aged 4 to 6 years, running alongside the main Stagecoach schools. These classes introduce them to singing, dancing, and drama, allowing for an easy transition when they are ready to move on to the next stage.

Main Stages classes cater to students aged 6 to 18 years and are divided into three age-appropriate groups. These classes provide a supportive environment for students to learn new skills and develop their talents in singing, dancing, and drama. Whether they are shy and reserved or full of confidence, Stagecoach Swansea nurtures each student, helping them find their voice and passion for the performing arts.

Overall, Stagecoach Performing Arts Swansea is a reputable and inclusive performing arts school that provides quality training and a nurturing environment for young people. With their focus on creativity, confidence-building, and professional development, they are truly dedicated to helping young individuals gain the skills and courage they need to succeed in the performing arts and beyond.
