Their confidence and voice. Most importantly, we teach students the importance of teamwork and encourage them to support and uplift one another. At Stagecoach Leeds Roundhay, we believe in providing a safe and inclusive environment for all students to explore and develop their passion for performing arts.
Under the guidance of Principal James Ford, who holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in addition to being a qualified teacher, our team of experienced teachers ensure that every child receives individual attention and guidance. We understand that each student has unique strengths and areas for growth, and we tailor our classes to suit their needs. We are proud to mention that all members of our team have undergone an Enhanced DBS check, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.
Furthermore, we offer a wide range of classes for young people, starting from the ages of 4 to 18. Our Early Stages classes are perfect for children aged 4-6, where they get to explore singing, dancing, and acting in a 90-minute lesson split into 30-minute sessions. These classes are designed to help our young performers gain confidence and build a solid foundation in the three core disciplines of musical theatre.
For students aged 6-18, our Main Stages classes offer a comprehensive training programme split into age-appropriate groups. Here, students learn new skills and techniques in singing, dancing, and drama. We foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where students can develop their performance skills and work towards their individual goals. From beginners to more advanced performers, our Main Stages classes cater to students of all levels.
In addition to our weekly classes, we also offer holiday workshops where students can further enhance their skills during breaks from school. These workshops provide a great opportunity for students to develop their performance abilities and have fun in a collaborative and creative environment.
At Stagecoach Leeds Roundhay, we believe in the power of performance to transform lives. Our students not only learn valuable techniques and skills, but they also develop life skills such as communication, resilience, and teamwork. We encourage our students to step out of their comfort zones and embrace their creativity with confidence and courage.
We are proud to be part of the Stagecoach network, the largest network of part-time performing arts schools in the UK. This allows us to provide our students with unique performance opportunities and access to the wider performing arts community.
