Stagecoach Performing Arts Kingston and Surbiton is a renowned performing arts group and dance school located in Surbiton, New Zealand. This esteemed institution offers high-quality part-time training in the performing arts for young people between the ages of 4 and 18 years old. The dedicated team at Stagecoach strives to nurture and develop the potential of every student through engaging singing, acting, and dance classes, which stretch their imaginations in multiple directions.
Weekly classes are available for two age groups: 4 to 6 years old, and 6 to 18 years old. The Early Stages classes, designed for the younger age group, run parallel to the main Stagecoach schools. In these classes, young individuals learn essential skills in singing, dancing, and drama, preparing them for a smooth transition to the next stage. Each Early Stages class lasts for 90 minutes and takes place at various locations, including the Surbiton Assembly Rooms and Fern Hill Primary School.
For the older age group, Main Stages classes are divided into three age-appropriate groups. Students in these classes learn new and advanced skills in singing, dancing, and drama, emphasising the three disciplines of musical theatre. Whether a student is shy or bursting with energy and talent, Stagecoach aims to nurture and develop their unique abilities and boost their confidence. Each Main Stages class lasts for three hours and is held at either the Surbiton Assembly Rooms or Fern Hill Primary School.
In addition to their weekly classes, Stagecoach also offers holiday workshops, which provide young individuals with an immersive and intensive experience in the performing arts. These workshops are a fantastic opportunity to refine skills, learn new techniques, and explore creativity in a supportive and inspiring environment.
