Stagecoach Performing Arts Hackney is an exciting and vibrant performing arts group and dance school located in London. With a focus on nurturing talent and providing opportunities for students to explore their passion for performing arts, Stagecoach Hackney is a place where students can learn new skills, make lifelong friends, and create memories that will last forever.
One unique aspect of Stagecoach Hackney is the option for students to join The Stagecoach Casting Agency, which works tirelessly to promote students' performance aspirations with directors in the entertainment industry nationwide. This gives ambitious students the opportunity to follow their dreams and pursue a career in the performing arts.
The weekly classes at Stagecoach Hackney cater to two age groups, 4–6 years and 6–18 years. The Early Stages classes (for ages 4-6) run alongside the main Stagecoach schools and provide young people with the opportunity to learn skills in singing, dancing, and drama. These classes serve as a seamless transition to the main stages classes, which are split into age-appropriate groups and allow students to further their skills in all three disciplines of musical theatre.
The holiday workshops offered by Stagecoach Hackney provide students with intensive training during school breaks, allowing them to further develop their talents and broaden their performance abilities. These workshops are a fantastic way to take a deep dive into the world of performing arts and work on specific areas of interest.
Stagecoach Hackney is led by Principal Gary Hughes, who brings a wealth of experience to the role. Gary's background includes training as a dancer at the Rambert School of Ballet and the London School of Contemporary Dance. He has performed in various countries, including France, Germany, Japan, Italy, and London's West End. Alongside his performing career, Gary has also gained a degree in Drama & Music and an MA in Dance Studies.
Supporting Gary is Manager Molly Mae Fisher, a talented performer who trained at The Urdang Academy and Performers College. With a strong background in musical theatre, Molly Mae graduated with a B. A (Hons) in Musical Theatre and has showcased her skills as a triple threat performer throughout her training.
At Stagecoach Hackney, the safety and well-being of students is of utmost importance. All members of the team are Enhanced DBS checked, giving parents peace of mind that their children are in safe hands.
Stagecoach Hackney is thrilled to have recently reopened in a new venue after the challenges posed by the pandemic lockdown. Located at Holy Trinity School, the new facilities provide an inspiring and supportive environment for students to thrive.
