Same time developing and challenging the more confident students. We believe in the potential of every child and aim to provide them with a safe and supportive environment to explore their creativity and talents. Our classes are designed to stretch young imaginations and help develop confidence, physical awareness, communication, and articulation.
At Stagecoach Bury St Edmunds & Stowmarket, we offer weekly classes for children aged 2-4, 4-6, and 6–18 years. These classes are held on Fridays after school and on weekends. We also conduct workshops during school holidays, providing an opportunity for children to engage in intensive training and further hone their skills. All our teachers are fully qualified and hold an enhanced DBS check, ensuring the safety and well-being of your child.
We are proud to offer Performing Arts Exams to our students. These exams are a great way to measure progress and provide a sense of achievement. Additionally, LAMDA exams in Musical Theatre, Drama, Verse & Prose are available, which can contribute towards UCAS points for further education, including University.
Our students also have the opportunity to participate in our Dance Troupe and take graded Dance Exams in Modern and Jazz Dance. This allows them to showcase their skills in a performance setting and gain valuable experience.
At the end of each term, we organise showcases of our students' work, inviting family and friends to witness their progress. We also have a yearly performance at The Apex in Bury St Edmunds. Some of our recent productions include Cats, Aladdin, Beauty & the Beast, Mary Poppins, School of Rock, Lion King, Matilda, Phantom of the Opera, and Bugsy Malone.
In addition to our regular classes and performances, we offer School Holiday Workshops. These workshops give children the opportunity to immerse themselves in a week of singing, dance, and drama, culminating in a performance at the end of the week.
Applications are now open for our new term starting in September 2023, but places are limited, so we encourage you to book now for a trial session. We also accept all childcare vouchers and tax-free childcare and offer flexible monthly payment options for all our schools.
We are excited to announce that our next production will be Aladdin Junior, set to be performed at the end of the Autumn term. Our students' dedication and passion will undoubtedly bring this classic tale to life in a spectacular way.
For children aged 4–6 years, we offer Early Stages classes that run alongside our main Stagecoach schools. These classes provide young people with skills in singing, dancing, and drama, preparing them for the next stage of their training.
