Stagecoach Bridgend and Cowbridge is excited to invite you to their contemporary dance event! As a local sports club, we provide top-notch training in the performing arts for children aged 4–18 years. Our goal is to nurture and develop their potential in singing, dance, and acting classes.
When your child joins Stagecoach, they become more self-assured, expressive, sociable, and imaginative. They learn valuable life skills such as resilience, creativity, and courage. We believe that a performing arts education is an education for life, and it's a passion that lasts a lifetime.
Here at Stagecoach Bridgend and Cowbridge, we offer weekly classes for children aged 4–6 years and 6–18 years. These classes provide a solid foundation in contemporary dance, allowing your child to explore their artistic side and develop their skills.
We also offer holiday workshops that give students the opportunity to further enhance their dance abilities during school breaks. Our workshops are a great way for your child to make new friends, build confidence, and learn new skills.
You'll be glad to know that your child is in safe hands with our dedicated team. All of our staff members are Enhanced DBS checked, ensuring the safety and security of every student.
We understand that trying something new can be daunting, which is why we offer a two-week trial period. This allows your child to experience our classes and see if they enjoy them. If you're interested, our next trial period begins on Saturday 6th January 2024. Simply email us at [email protected] or contact Jaye on 07894923708 for more details.
At Stagecoach Bridgend and Cowbridge, we believe in providing performance opportunities for our students. We have exciting events lined up, including the Stagecoach LIVE at the New Theatre Cardiff on Sunday 30th June 2024, and Sadler's Wells on the 16th November 2024. These events allow our students to showcase their talent and gain valuable stage experience.
Our summer workshops are also not to be missed! These workshops are open to both Stagecoach and Non-Stagecoach students, ranging from ages 6–18 years old. During the workshops, children will have the opportunity to sing, dance, and act, all while making new friends and building confidence. They will also work towards a performance for family and friends to enjoy.
For our younger dancers aged 4–6 years old, we offer the Little Performers Summer Workshops. These workshops are a perfect introduction to the performing arts, giving children a chance to explore their creativity in a fun and supportive environment.
Additionally, we offer individual LAMDA qualifications in Verse & Prose, Acting, or Musical Theatre. Our experienced coaches work closely with students to prepare them for these exams, which not only improve their confidence but also expand their skill set. We are proud to share that our students have achieved Distinctions in recent exams!
If your child is just starting their performing arts journey, our Early Stages classes are the perfect fit. These classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools and focus on teaching skills in singing, dancing, and drama. It's a seamless transition to the next stage when the time is right.
Our Main Stages classes are split into three age-appropriate groups, allowing young people to learn new skills in singing, dancing, and drama. We cater to each individual, nurturing the shy and apprehensive until they find their voice, and challenging those with bundles of talent, confidence, and energy. We truly believe in the potential of every child!
