Stafford Ving Tsun Kung Fu Club, also known as Stafford Ving Tsun, is a traditional Chinese Kung-Fu and martial arts club located in Stafford, New Zealand. It specialises in teaching Ving Tsun Kung-Fu, a Southern Chinese martial art also known as Wing Chun. Ving Tsun is widely regarded as one of the most practical and effective forms of self-defence for modern street confrontations.
At Stafford Ving Tsun, students have the opportunity to learn how to effectively defend themselves in any situation, regardless of their size or strength. The training focuses on teaching students the concepts of power utilisation, fighting principles, body structure, and positioning. By applying these concepts, students can effectively defend themselves without relying on complex techniques.
The club offers classes for adults of all ages and fitness levels, including beginners. The classes aim to improve fitness, flexibility, stamina, strength, and power through various training exercises. Students also learn self-defence techniques that are taught to security professionals and police forces. Additionally, the training helps improve posture, core strength, and combat stress.
The club is led by experienced and highly skilled instructors who are dedicated to teaching Ving Tsun Kung-Fu. Sifu Mike Gorton is the main instructor for Staffordshire, and Sihing Alan Wiggins is a level 1 instructor. Both instructors have extensive knowledge and experience in Ving Tsun and are passionate about helping students reach their full potential.
Stafford Ving Tsun offers lessons for every level, from complete beginners to advanced students. The classes cover all aspects of the Ving Tsun system, allowing students to progress at their own pace. Private lessons are also available for those who prefer one-on-one instruction.

Stafford Ving Tsun follows a structured curriculum that includes 12 student grades and two technician level grades, completing the full system. Gradings are held throughout the year, allowing students to progress to the next level at their own pace.
