One of the highlights on the Secondary Schools squash calendar is the Canterbury Secondary School Squash Interschool Competition. Taking place on Wednesday afternoons from the 19th of May to the 25th of August (with a short break during school holidays), this team event brings together talented players from various schools. Last year, we saw a fantastic turnout with 13 teams representing 6 secondary schools. To further enhance the experience, there will be a Coaching Clinic held at Squash HQ for the first three weeks of the C Grade competition, ensuring that students have the opportunity to develop their skills.
Another event not to be missed is the Canterbury Secondary Schools Individual Championships. This highly anticipated tournament sees students from Christchurch competing for the coveted District titles. Organised by Squash Canterbury on behalf of Canterbury School Sport, this year's championships will be held on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd May in 2021.
