Welcome to Springfield Lakes Netball Club, the proud representative of the Springfield/Camira community. Our club has a long-standing history, dating back over 20 years to its roots in Camira. We cater to players of all ages, making us a family-friendly club.
At Springfield Lakes Netball Club, we have teams for junior players as well as seniors. Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, we have a place for you. Our club offers competition, social, and modified games, ensuring that everyone can find their preferred level of play.
We prioritise the development of our coaches and umpires. We encourage all our coaches to obtain coaching accreditation through Netball Qld, and we provide training and support for our young umpires to gain confidence and national accreditation.
Starting in 2020, our club training sessions take place at the new Sporting Complex at Sportstar Drive, Springfield Central. On Tuesday evenings at 5pm, our Netta (7-10 years) and competition teams gather for training. Additional information regarding specific teams and coaches will be provided as the season progresses.
Our competition games are held on Saturdays at Western Districts Netball Association, located in Graceville. Junior games begin at 8am, and the last round of the day is played at 3. 10pm. Each team will be allocated a division and a specific game time by WDNA.
For players aged 14 and above, a social competition is organised on Monday nights at Graceville. It's a high-quality competition with provided umpires. More information about this competition will be available soon, as it's set to begin on February 6th, 2023.
We pride ourselves on being one of the most affordable clubs at WDNA. The cost for the 2023 Saturday Day Season is $360 per player, which includes a slight increase due to fees by Netball Queensland. We offer a discounted rate of $335 for the second and subsequent children from the same family. Additionally, there are costs associated with the uniform, including approximately $50 for the SLNC dress (compulsory), $35 for SLNC shorts (compulsory), $10 for socks, and $15 for a visor.
Hoodies and personalised drink bottles are also available at an additional cost.
The club's 2022 Presentation Night will be held on October 11th at SkateAway Bundamba. The junior presentation for players under 13 will take place from 5pm to 7pm, while the senior presentation for players 13 and above is scheduled from 7. 30pm to 9. 30pm.
All players and ticket holders will receive skate hire, skating time, pizza, and a drink. Additional tickets are available for purchase for siblings and immediate family members at $10 each (maximum of $30 per family of 4). Special dietary requirements, such as gluten-free and vegan, can be accommodated.
On the night of the Presentation, guests are advised to arrive and present their tickets at the door to receive tickets for pizza and drinks. Skates should be left with parents and not put on yet. Players, coaches, and managers will gather on the rink in team groups, while parents can gather in the upper seating section above or.
