Spring Lea Fishery offers an unforgettable fishing experience in the stunning countryside of Shropshire. With four coarse and carp pools spanning over 12 acres, this fishing club has become a favourite among both local and national anglers. The pools are well-stocked with hand-selected, hard fighting carp, some weighing up to an impressive 33lbs. Additionally, an array of other species of coarse fish can be found here.
When you visit Spring Lea Fishery, you'll appreciate the clear signage directing you to your chosen pool and peg, along with helpful information about the fish species available. If you're in the mood for friendly competition, you won't want to miss our weekly open match, which attracts anglers from all over. In fact, the record for the highest 5-hour match weight was set at an impressive 298lbs in 2020 at our Mallard Pool. It's not uncommon for match weights to regularly exceed 100lb, so you can expect an exciting challenge.
For clubs and private groups looking to organise their own fishing matches, our fishing pools are available for closed matches upon prior booking. Due to high demand, we recommend booking in advance to secure your spot. In 2021, we introduced Trevor's Pool, a new specimen carp lake that has undergone a complete transformation. This lake is home to hand-reared carp fish, as well as a fantastic selection of locally raised British common and mirror carp fish, all weighing up to 33lbs.
To ensure that our visitors have everything they need for a successful fishing session, we have an on-site tackle and bait shop that is fully stocked with a wide range of fishing essentials. Please note that we no longer stock maggots, castors, or worms. However, visitors can place an order ahead of their visit to pick up when they arrive.
When it comes to convenience, Spring Lea Fishery has you covered. Free parking is available on-site, and blue badge holders are welcome to request assistance to their selected pegs.
