Spring Intro to Sprint Racing Camp

The North Bay Canoe Club is excited to announce the Spring Intro to Sprint Racing Camp happening from June 3 to June 28, 2024. This camp is perfect for young athletes between the ages of 8 to 17, born from 2006 to 2015, looking to level up their canoe and kayak skills from the Canoe Kids level.

At the camp, participants will work on honing their balance and technique in team boats, moving on to singles racing canoes and kayaks as they progress. While having previous paddling experience is a plus, it's not a requirement for this program.

For those considering joining the Sprint Canoe Kayak Racing team for the summer, taking part in the Spring Intro to Sprint camp will have its benefits. If you decide to move on to the racing program, the registration fee for the camp will be deducted, essentially making it free for you.

To participate, athletes must be able to swim 25 meters and tread water for a minute without a life jacket, and always wear a Government of Canada Approved Personal Flotation Device while on or near the water. This camp is a great opportunity to enhance your skills and get ready for an exciting sprint racing season. Don't miss out on this chance to push your limits and enjoy the thrill of canoeing!
