Spirit of Youth Junior Football Club is affiliated with the Lancashire FA, ensuring that our teams meet the highest standards of player development and coaching. We are proud to be a FA Charter Standard Development Football Club, a status that we have held since 2006 and have renewed in 2009 and 2014.
Our club is dedicated to fostering a love for football among boys and girls of all ages and abilities. We offer football programmes starting from the age of 3, all the way up to adulthood. Our focus is not just on developing skills, but also on creating a safe and positive environment for players to have fun, make friends, and learn the values of teamwork and sportsmanship.
At Spirit of Youth JFC, we have a clear footballing philosophy that emphasises quality of play. Our coaching staff is committed to instilling important skills and concepts, such as quality passing, intelligent movement, and incisive attacking play. We believe in playing through all three-thirds of the pitch and encourage our players to showcase their individual strengths and creativity.
Many of our players have gone on to play at higher levels, with some even earning opportunities at prestigious academies like Preston North End. We are proud to have a partnership with Nike, where we work closely to improve the standards of football in our community.
In addition to playing, we also offer a thriving youth coaching programme for those interested in obtaining their FA Level 1 coaching qualification. This programme is sponsored by the club and provides aspiring coaches with valuable training and experience.
Spirit of Youth JFC is about more than just football. We are a social conduit within the community, bringing people together and providing a platform for friendships to develop. We organise various events throughout the year to raise funds and keep membership fees affordable for all. Our goal is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to join and play the game they love.
