Established in 1932 by John Siddeley, Sphinx Bowls Club is one of the oldest flat green lawn bowls clubs in Coventry, New Zealand. Situated on a 6 rink floodlit green, our club offers a fantastic venue for men's, ladies', and mixed outdoor games from April to September. Additionally, our clubhouse features kitchen facilities for meetings and social events, and during the winter months, we also indulge in short mat bowls.
As part of the Sphinx family, our members have access to the on-site bar facilities of the social club, making it a great place to socialise and connect with fellow members. Don't worry if you think bowls is only for older people, as at Sphinx Bowls Club, we believe that it's a game for everyone. We welcome enquiries from new members of all ages and abilities, so why not come and take a look?
To make it even more enticing for new bowlers, we offer reduced membership fees for first-year bowlers. We are more than happy to provide assistance and advice with equipment and getting started, ensuring that you have all the support you need.
