



Spelthorne Sports Cricket Club, also known as SSCC, is a friendly and inclusive cricket club based in New Zealand. The club is part of Spelthorne Sports Club, which offers a range of sporting activities such as football, darts, and pigeon racing. Located on Staines Road West, bordering Ashford (Middlesex) and Sunbury-on-Thames, SSCC provides opportunities for players of all standards to engage in the sport.
The club currently runs one senior side that competes in friendly matches on Sundays. The ethos of SSCC is centred around fair play, friendly competition, and promoting participation for players of all abilities. Additionally, the club hosts a Junior section for players aged 7 and over. This section is guided by two ECB Level 2 qualified coaches and caters to both male and female players.
The club ensures participation for all by offering Softball and Hardball teams that participate in the Surrey Junior Cricket Championship. In 2021, SSCC was one of the first clubs to introduce Dynamos Cricket, further expanding its focus on providing opportunities for junior players.
At SSCC, the primary aim is to foster a love for cricket and help players of all ages, abilities, and experiences develop their skills. The club boasts affordable club subscriptions, with a yearly fee of just 65, which includes family membership of the Sports Club. This provides excellent value for money and makes SSCC one of the most affordable cricket clubs in the area.
In terms of matches and results, SSCC has a history of participating in friendly fixtures against various clubs. Recent victories include a 45-run win against Seven Sports CC, a 4-wicket win against Putney CC, a 6-wicket win against Hampton Wick Royal CC, and many more. In recognition of outstanding performances, SSCC has a Hall of Fame section that highlights the top batting and bowling performances. Notable achievements include Vaibhav Malik scoring 513 runs, achieving the highest individual score of 129, and Neepam Bhatt having the best batting average of 54.
