Are you the owner of Speen Parish Hall?

Welcome to Speen Parish Hall, a Wellness Programme and Pilates studio located in New Zealand. Led by Lina, an experienced Pilates, Mindfulness, and Qigong teacher, we offer a range of classes designed to help you move well and be well.
Lina's passion for Pilates stems from its ability to stabilise core and back muscles, improve stamina, coordination, balance, and flexibility. In addition, Pilates teaches participants to enhance concentration and use breath to relax and unwind. Lina believes that mindfulness is a powerful skill that can be applied to all aspects of life. It teaches individuals to pay attention to everything without judgement, fostering kindness towards oneself and the world.
At Speen Parish Hall, you can also experience Qigong, a moving meditation that tones and strengthens the body while calming the nervous system and enhancing balance. The practise of Qigong allows participants to connect with their body in a gentle and supportive way.
Lina has many years of experience teaching groups in person and online. She is a qualified Pilates teacher Level 3 with the Body Control Pilates Association UK, a world-leading training organisation that focuses on building confidence and strength before progressing to higher levels. Lina is also a Level 4 Pilates Teacher and a Back4Good practitioner, specialising in Pilates for lower back pain. Her additional qualifications include Pilates for Pregnancy and beyond, Pilates for Osteoporosis, and Pilates for Older Clients.
She is also trained in Mindfulness Meditation and Qigong.
Mindfulness is a way of life at Speen Parish Hall. Lina combines mindfulness meditation and mindful walking to assist those with chronic health conditions and mental health issues. Mindfulness meditation allows participants to relax their body and mind, becoming observers of their body, heart, and mind in the present moment.
Pilates, originally known as Contrology, was developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. It is a method that combines elements of yoga, Tai Chi, and Martial Arts. Pilates aims to strengthen core muscles, mobilise the spine, and build muscles around joints to prevent wear and tear, injuries, and back pain. It also focuses on postural stability, balance, and relaxation.
Qigong, often referred to as the mother of Tai Chi, is a dynamic meditation that utilises breath and gentle movement to activate the body's innate energy, known as Qi. This practise helps relax the body and mind while strengthening joints, muscles, and balance.
Don't just take our word for it – our clients have shared their positive experiences. One client, a Chartered Physiotherapist, acknowledges Lina's excellent programmes, varied classes, and instruction technique. Additionally, Lina offers a course on mindfulness meditation that has greatly helped participants in their personal journeys.
Join us at Speen Parish Hall for a holistic approach to wellness through Pilates, mindfulness, and Qigong. We look forward to helping you move well and be well.
