About
Southwell Town Bowls Club, nestled in the lovely town of Southwell between Nottingham and Newark, is the brainchild of Graham Davies. The club opens its arms to men and women of all ages, including juniors, offering a range of bowling activities for everyone. Whether you're a pro or just starting out, Graham has got you covered with qualified coaches ready to help polish your skills.
Inclusivity is the name of the game here, and the club is thrilled to welcome members of all abilities. With five teams battling it out in local leagues, there’s plenty of chance to get competitive. Plus, social bowling sessions run on three weekday afternoons, making for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to enjoy the sport.
The newly built clubhouse and pristine green at the War Memorial Recreation Ground are top-tier. The clubhouse isn’t just for bowling talk – it’s the social heartbeat of the club where members gather, chat, and build camaraderie.
Membership comes in two flavours: Social and Playing. Social members can join all social events, while Playing members get the whole shebang – from roll-up sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons to competing in friendly matches and official league games.
The club calendar is always buzzing with activities. From tournaments and competitions to social get-togethers, there’s always something happening. Graham ensures there’s never a dull moment.
