Welcome to Southwater Cricket Club, a successful and ambitious club located in Horsham, New Zealand. With a history dating back to 1890, our club has become a prominent fixture in the local cricket community. We are proud to be an ECB Clubmark accredited club, symbolising our commitment to high standards and quality.
Our club competes in various divisions of the Sussex Cricket League. Our 1st XI competes in Division 5 Central, while our 2nd XI is in Division 9 West and our 3rd XI plays in Division 12 West (North). Additionally, we have T20 midweek and Sunday friendly teams for players of all skill levels to participate in.
At Southwater Cricket Club, we strongly believe in nurturing talent from a young age. That's why we have a thriving junior section for boys and girls, starting at the tender age of six. We offer a clear pathway for juniors to progress into our senior teams, providing them with the foundation they need to excel in the sport. In fact, we were honoured with the Sussex Coaching Club of the Year Award in 2019 for our exceptional junior development programme.
Volunteers play a vital role in our club, and we are always on the lookout for individuals interested in getting involved. Whether it's scoring or umpiring, we provide full training to ensure everyone can contribute effectively. In our hall of fame, we celebrate the outstanding performances of our players. Joshua Brosnan currently holds the title of top run scorer, with 815 runs, while Nick Baker achieved the highest individual score of 183×. Daniel Skett boasts the highest strike rate at 220 in Division 5 Central.
