Southwark Sports Lawn Bowls and Social Club is a well-established lawn bowls club located in Dulwich, one of London's leafiest suburbs. Originally funded by Southwark Council, the club is now entirely self-funded and run by a dedicated team of volunteers.
Maintaining the bowling green is a top priority for the club, as we strive to offer our members a high-quality playing surface. Our volunteers undergo special training in lawn maintenance and use specialised mowing equipment to ensure the green is kept in excellent condition. The costs associated with these maintenance activities are solely funded by the club itself, as we rely on our own fundraising efforts to support the upkeep of the facilities. Our beautiful green is surrounded by charming gardens, creating a stunning setting for outdoor parties and events.
With white wooden huts and palm trees, the club provides a private and secluded space for gatherings.

New players are always welcome at Southwark Sports. We provide all the equipment needed for newcomers to get started and offer friendly games called “roll-ups,” which are mixed for both men and women. Roll-ups are a relaxed and enjoyable way to learn and practise the sport while getting to know others in the club.
In addition to our lawn bowls activities, Southwark Sports also offers party and corporate hire services. Our Clubhouse is available for hire, whether for weddings, birthday parties, or any other private event. Our dedicated Social Secretary and club members will work closely with you to ensure the space is tailored to meet your specific needs.
