Southwark Boating Lake

Southwark Boating Lake is a picturesque swimming lake located in Southwark Park, London. Established in 1869, it is one of the earliest parks opened by the Metropolitan Board of Works. The lake covers an area of 25 hectares and offers a variety of facilities and features for visitors to enjoy.

The park offers a range of amenities, including the Southwark Park Pavilion Caf, Rotherhithe Children & Family Centre, a playground for children up to age 14, and the Southwark Park Galleries, which exhibit contemporary art. The bandstand hosts various events and concerts during summer, providing entertainment for visitors of all ages. Wheelchair access is available throughout the park, including at the caf.

Southwark Park Pavilion Caf is now open, serving hot and cold foods, drinks, and Gallo ice cream. Operated by Ocean Guild Ltd, the caf is a great spot to relax and enjoy the park's surroundings. Opening hours are from 9. 30am to 4.
