Founded during the 2021 pandemic by Lee Collins, South Norwich Fitness was born out of a realisation of how lockdown restrictions were impacting mental and physical well-being. Lee, a 46-year-old ex-engineer and manager, made the decision to pursue a new career as a personal trainer after attaining a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification. Having personally experienced the challenges of juggling a busy career, family life, and personal fitness goals, Lee brings real-life experience and a balanced approach to helping busy individuals achieve their fitness aspirations.
Lee's own fitness journey started with improvements in diet and joining regular gym memberships. This eventually sparked a passion for fitness that led him to cycling challenges such as London to Paris, cycling the French Alps and Pyrenees, as well as participating in half and full marathons and sprint triathlons. This firsthand experience as both a trainer and participant in various events allows Lee to provide comprehensive guidance and support from multiple perspectives.
In addition to being a qualified personal trainer, Lee is also a qualified bicycle mechanic, providing repair and maintenance services in his spare time. With a commitment to honesty, openness, and professionalism, Lee's primary objective at South Norwich Fitness is to understand each individual's unique needs, wants, and goals. Drawing from his own experiences with fitness and mental well-being struggles, Lee is passionate about inspiring confidence in individuals of all ages, abilities, and challenges.
