Welcome to South Leamington TKD! South Leamington Taekwon Do club, located in the Sydenham area of Leamington Spa, is a long-standing martial arts school known for its success in producing skilled champions and martial artists. The club, first opened many years ago, was initially run by International Instructor Mr Gavin McAteer. It was later passed on to his personal student, Mr Matt Uzzell, who now serves as the current Instructor.

Taekwon-Do is a martial art suitable for individuals of all levels of fitness and for both men and women. At South Leamington TKD, you will find people from different generations training together, which creates a sense of community and bonding. In fact, it is common to see parents and their children taking up martial arts together, fostering respect, self-discipline, and a strong mental attitude. Taekwon-Do not only enhances self-confidence but also instils a competitive spirit through its grading system, encouraging participants to stay motivated and witness their advancement and improvement.

Under the leadership of Mr Matt Uzzell, a 1st degree black belt who began training in Taekwon-Do in 2012, South Leamington TKD continues to thrive. Mr Uzzell, who has been an Assistant Instructor since 2016, possesses exceptional organisational skills and aims to expand his role in T-UK Tournaments & Events. Additionally, he trains regularly at the Stratford Upon Avon black belt club under the guidance of Master John Archer, a 7th-degree black belt.

South Leamington TKD offers classes at two venues. The first venue is St Anthony's School, located at 1 Sydenham Dr, Leamington Spa CV31 1NJ, with training times for juniors on Mondays from 6pm to 7pm. The second venue is the Sydni Centre at Cottage Square, Leamington Spa CV31 1PT, with junior training on Thursdays from 6pm to 7pm.
