Welcome to Southland Barbell, a top gym located in Winkler dedicated to helping individuals pursue health and fitness in an authentic community setting. Our gym offers a variety of classes and programs designed to cater to all fitness levels and goals.
Owned and operated by head coach Andrea Libby, Southland Barbell was founded in November 2022 after starting as a garage gym in Winkler. Andrea's passion for CrossFit stems from her background as a competitive sprinter and her experience coaching at Respect the Corners fitness ministry in Kona, Hawaii. Andrea is joined by co-owners and coaches Melissa Wall and Mike Libby, both of whom are dedicated to helping members reach their full potential.
Melissa Wall, a certified CrossFit Level 1 trainer, brings her love for sports and community to Southland Barbell. Her nurturing nature and passion for helping others grow make her a valuable asset to the coaching team. Mike Libby, also a certified CrossFit Level 1 trainer, found his home in the supportive community of Hammer CrossFit and brings a wealth of coaching experience to the gym.
