Teach at South Bucks Karate Club is classical Japanese Wado Ryu Karate. This style focuses on efficient and fluid movements, emphasising the use of body mechanics and natural body movements rather than relying solely on strength.

At South Bucks Karate Club, we believe that learning Martial Arts should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. We are dedicated to creating a positive and supportive environment for all of our members, regardless of age or skill level. Our instructors are experienced and highly trained, with a deep understanding of the techniques and principles of Karate.

Our Karate classes are designed for individuals of all ages, from juniors to seniors and even those over 50. We understand that each age group has different needs and goals, so we tailor our training programmes accordingly. For junior students, we offer a rolling 6-month programme that includes specialised classes on bullying prevention, stranger danger awareness, merit badge evenings, and self-defence techniques.

South Bucks Karate Club is a fully registered member of the United Kingdom All Style Karate Organisation (UKASKO), which is led by Hanshi (9th Dan) Roy Stanhope, a renowned Shukokai Karate instructor. This affiliation ensures that our training follows the highest standards and that our members have access to a wide range of events, competitions, and workshops.

We pride ourselves on being a friendly and supportive club, fostering a sense of community among our members. In addition to regular training sessions, we organise annual outings to Laser Quest, participate in UKASKO competitions, and host various social events throughout the year. We place great importance on the welfare of our junior students and provide dedicated classes and events to address topics such as bullying and personal safety.

Our main training venue is located in Prestwood Village Hall, which boasts a fully matted training area and is equipped with all the necessary training equipment. Prestwood is conveniently situated between High Wycombe, Wendover, and Amersham in the South Buckinghamshire area. We also offer training at other locations as per our calendar and schedule.
