South Brisbane District Cricket Club, established in 1897, is a renowned cricket club located in the suburb of Fairfield in Brisbane. Known as the home of the mighty Magpies, it is one of the oldest cricket clubs in Brisbane and has a rich history of producing great cricketers. Notable players who have emerged from this club include Sam Trimble, Greg Chappell, Craig McDermott, Andrew Bichel, Ben Cutting, and Billy Stanlake. In the 2020-21 season, the club has also recruited former Australian international player Gurinder Sandhu.
The club's home ground, Fehlberg Park, is where the action takes place. It boasts the famous Norman Grey, Bob Young, and Jack Cooke ovals. South Brisbane District Cricket Club fields teams in the Queensland top Cricket competitions, participating in each of the six grades of Men's cricket.
