The club also has a fleet of dinghies available for loan to members, including Topper's, RS Quest dinghies, a wayfarer, and a GP14. This allows members to progress from dinghies to cruisers, with a Foxcub cruiser also available for borrowing.

For those interested in cruiser sailing, Southampton Sailing Club has a diverse range of yachts owned by its members, including Foxcub, Centaur, Moody, Elizabethan, Seal, Maxi, and UFO, among others. The club organises planned recreational rallies to various Solent destinations, providing members with confidence-building opportunities. Additionally, there are rallies and sail in company events to far-reaching ports such as France, the Channel Islands, and the West Country. These rallies are hosted by one of the boats' crews and offer a chance for social activities at the venue destination, including BBQs, pontoon parties, pub lunches, and general get-togethers.
