Welcome to Sorrento Basketball Club, a vibrant and inclusive basketball club located in Sorrento, Australia. Established in mid-2017 with just one team, we have quickly grown to become one of the fastest-growing clubs on the Peninsula, now boasting over 40 teams for the upcoming 2023/2024 Summer Season.

At Sorrento Basketball Club, we believe in providing a nurturing and supportive team environment where all our members can enjoy playing basketball. We value the sense of belonging that team sports offer, and we prioritise fun and learning team values above grading and comparing players. Our club is dedicated to creating a community-focused and family-friendly atmosphere, welcoming players, parents, and supporters alike.

Child safety is of utmost importance to us, and we have a comprehensive Child Safe Policy in place to ensure the well-being and protection of all our members. We aim to instil respect and empathy in all our team members, teaching them the importance of treating each other with kindness and fairness.

As we continue to grow, we rely on the support of our dedicated club parents and volunteers. To keep our members connected and informed, we have established a range of communication channels. We have a dedicated Facebook page and WhatsApp group for coaches and team managers where we regularly share training drills, tips, and important team-related information. Additionally, we are in the process of implementing Team Pay, a new app that simplifies the collection of players' weekly game payments.

Uniforms play an integral role in fostering team identity and unity. We have recently ordered new uniforms directly from Southern Pen and anticipate their arrival in the next few weeks. In the meantime, if anyone needs to borrow a singlet, please contact Renee on 0418 214 461.
