Dominic Soong, a highly respected coach with over 40 years of experience, was recently honoured by the Ottawa Sports Council with a Lifetime Coaching Award in recognition of his dedication to growing the sport of badminton in Ottawa and beyond. Under his leadership, the Soong Badminton Academy has become one of the largest and most successful junior badminton clubs in the country.
As Janet and Dominic transition into retirement, they look forward to continuing their involvement in badminton through ad hoc lessons, clinics, and leadership development opportunities. They are grateful for the support of their players, coaches, and the Ottawa badminton community over the years and are excited to enjoy some well-deserved quiet time and flexibility in their lives.
