Somerset Swim Babies

Somerset Swim Babies is a baby swimming school located in Highbridge. They offer swim lessons for babies from birth to 4 years old in a warm and inviting purpose-built pool. The baby programme is a structured, progressive 50-week programme that aims to build water confidence and introduce basic swimming skills through songs, games, and toys. The toddler programme continues on from the baby programme and teaches more advanced swimming and safety skills using woggles, floats, games, and songs.

Classes are small, with a maximum of 6–7 babies in each class.

The swim lessons are taught by Julia, a fully qualified swimming teacher who specialises in babies and young children. Julia has been teaching swimming since 1998 and is passionate about providing affordable lessons that not only teach swimming skills but also increase the confidence of both parents and babies. Julia loves to see the progress of her students and often develops long-lasting relationships with her families.

Somerset Swim Babies also offers underwater photo shoots in collaboration with Underwater Art. These photo shoots provide the opportunity for parents to capture beautiful underwater pictures of their babies. Prints and images can be purchased directly from Underwater Art one week after the photo shoot.

In addition to swim lessons and photo shoots, Somerset Swim Babies also offers private pool hire. They have a lovely warm pool with a constant water temperature of 33 degrees and a depth of 1. 25m. The pool has easy entry via shallow steps.

Hourly slots are available for hire, with prices varying depending on the number of swimmers.

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session to receive a refund. Please note that there is no lifeguard on duty at the pool.
