Welcome to Sokol Sydney, a Czech & Slovak Community & Sports club with a bar, restaurant, and beer garden located in Frenchs Forest. Founded in 1975 by the Czechoslovak exile community, Sokol Sydney offers a range of sporting, cultural, entertainment, and educational events throughout the year.
Immerse yourself in Czech and Slovak traditions and culture while enjoying a variety of sports in our hall, which features a new floor. With a long tradition in playing volleyball, futsal, table tennis, and floorball, we also have 3 new courts available for badminton or pickleball.
After sports, you can relax in our cosy bar, where we have premium Czech beers on tap, or enjoy the great beer garden. If you're feeling hungry, our restaurant offers authentic European cuisine, with a focus on Czech and Slovak dishes. We also cater to dietary needs, with gluten-free options and a children's menu available.
Sokol Sydney isn't just a sports club and restaurant, it's also a place to connect with your Czech and Slovak heritage or simply enjoy a fun and welcoming atmosphere. We value our large Czech & Slovak community and the historical significance of our building, which has been a hub for the Czechoslovakian community since its construction.
Our goal is to be a regular meeting place for our members and their friends, as well as to introduce our culture to the local community through regular cultural and sporting events. Whether you're hosting a private party or attending one of our upcoming events, Sokol Sydney has something for everyone.
To book an event or become a member, visit our website for more information. We look forward to welcoming you to Sokol Sydney, where you can experience a flavour of Europe and create lasting memories with family and friends.
