Join the friendly atmosphere of Wattle Tennis Club for social tennis. Wattle Tennis Club specialises in social tennis and welcomes players of all skill levels. There is no weekly commitment or pressure to perform. Just come along and enjoy some friendly tennis whenever you feel like it.
Every Tuesday morning from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, a mixed group plays doubles sets of 4 games, with rotating players to minimise waiting time between sets. Even if you are not an experienced player, feel free to join and test your skills. You can introduce yourself to David Nettelbeck, Malcolm Dow, Helen McPherson, or any other friendly players.
On Saturdays from 1 pm onwards, members mainly play mixed doubles matches with standard scoring. The first pair to reach 6 games wins. They don't usually play advantage games or tie-breakers. Younger and fitter members often engage in singles matches as well. Afternoon tea is supplied, making it an enjoyable social event. Don't hesitate to join and introduce yourself to Ian Dowling, Malcolm Dow, Elinor Knappert, Cathy Stone, or any other friendly players.
During daylight savings time (October to March), the club organises social tennis on Wednesday evenings from 6 pm onwards. Members generally play mixed doubles, aiming to reach 6 games. Advantage games and tie-breakers are not typically played. It's a great opportunity to try out this friendly club and meet new players. If you're interested, introduce yourself to Ian Dowling, Malcolm Dowling, Elinor Knappert, Cathy Stone, or any other friendly club members.
