Soccerwise Coaching Scheme

Located in the South Manchester and Trafford area, Soccerwise Coaching Scheme is a family-run sports school and football club that has been providing high-quality coaching since its establishment in May 1998. Originally founded by Chris and Wendy Bullock, the scheme is now led by their son, Josh Bullock, a qualified primary school teacher.

Soccerwise offers a wide range of coaching programmes, specialising in football and multi-sports. While football remains a core focus, the scheme also provides instruction in hockey, dodgeball, basketball, tennis, cricket, archery, table tennis, and even cycling and dance through specialist coaches during their Holiday Club.

With over 25 years of experience, Soccerwise is recognised for its commitment to delivering coaching services of the highest standard. The scheme has worked with numerous primary schools in the area, delivering football and curriculum sports coaching as part of the National Curriculum.

One of the highlights of Soccerwise's work is their “Football Fun Weeks” held during school holidays. These events are well-supported and enjoyed by both the players and coaches alike, creating a safe and enjoyable environment for children to participate in sports.

While Soccerwise no longer runs after-school clubs or leads PE lessons in schools due to Josh's full-time teaching responsibilities, they continue to operate an extensive after-school coaching programme. This programme takes place at various sports clubs, leisure centres, and local primary and high schools. Soccerwise also provides support to junior football clubs, offering weekly training and weekend matches for both boys and girls teams.

The team at Soccerwise Coaching Scheme comprises dedicated individuals with a passion for sports and teaching. In addition to Josh as the Business Manager, the team includes Chris and Wendy as founders, Rach as admin support, and a group of experienced coaches including James, Iain, Jacob, Ryan, and Brianna.
