Welcome to Snapper Express Fishing Charters, a renowned fishing charter operating in the beautiful Firth of Thames since 2011. With Ricky Scott and Laura Craike as your skippers and hosts, and Eric Carter running the operation, we guarantee an unforgettable fishing experience. Our main goal is to ensure that you not only have a successful fishing trip, but also feel safe and have a great time throughout.

Our charter boats are 8. 5-metre Osprey vessels, fully equipped with the latest technology and safety equipment. This ensures that your fishing experience is comfortable and enjoyable, with the peace of mind that you are in capable hands. Both boats have a capacity of up to 10 people and boast a cruising speed of 25 knots (45 km/hr) and a top speed of 35 knots (65 km/hr).

Being fully surveyed vessels, they are equipped with the latest safety, navigation, and communication equipment. Additionally, a toilet is available onboard for your convenience.

Snapper fishing is our speciality, with our charters taking you to the spectacular mussel farms in the Firth of Thames and Coromandel. Snapper is the most commonly caught species, but you may also have the opportunity to catch other exciting species such as John Dory, Kahawai, and Gurnard. It is an awesome day out for anyone who loves fishing.

If you are an adrenaline seeker, our Kingfish charters are perfect for you. Pound for pound, Kingfish are the best fighting fish in the sea. Along with targeting Kingfish, depending on conditions and your preferences, you may also have the chance to fish for Snapper, John Dory, Kahawai, and Gurnard.

For those looking for an even more thrilling adventure, our Game Fish charters take you deep into New Zealand's prime big game waters. Departing from either Whangamata or Whitianga, we target a range of game fish depending on the season and conditions. It is an experience you won't want to miss.
