Hello Sports Community,
Amanda here, the organiser of Slade Farm Equestrian Services, wants to share a few details about what they offer for horse enthusiasts like yourselves. Slade Farm provides feeding and mucking out services, along with bedding, feed, and forage. They also have a hay steamer available for livery owners by arrangement. The grazing fields are well-maintained, rotated, and regularly harrowed. Horses are turned out in compatible groups with segregation of mares and geldings, and individual turnout options are also available.
For those wanting a more hands-off approach, Amanda offers full livery services. This includes daily feeding and mucking out. Your horse will get breakfast from the first person on the yard each morning. The experienced staff ensure your horse gets high-quality care and attention.
Slade Farm has various stabling options with two indoor barns containing 10 and 9 boxes respectively, and two further yards with 5 and 6 boxes. All stables have automatic water systems. There are also a hay barn, feed room with galvanised bins and hot water, and a tack room with all necessary facilities including a notice board and diary.
Outdoor facilities at Slade Farm include a 50m by 25m floodlit menage with an ideal sand and fibre surface for both flatwork and jumping. There's also a 60m by 20m grass/woodchip arena for schooling and individual tuition, with Polyjumps available. The menage can also be booked for private lessons.
For cross country riders, there are well-built fences ranging from 1ft 6" to 3ft. Amanda hopes to expand this to include around 20 fences. There are also wide grass tracks around the paddocks for short hacks within the property, and several miles of trails on neighbouring land, thanks to the estate owner.
Additionally, there's a lunge pit with a sand and fibre surface, fenced for privacy and safety.
Slade Farm is conveniently located between Cambridge and Newmarket, just about 4 miles from Newmarket, with easy access to the A14. Amanda aims to provide a well-maintained, tidy, friendly, and relaxed yard for you and your horse to enjoy. Whether you opt for DIY or full livery services, the comfort and happiness of your horse is the priority.
