Skye Marine Wildlife and Fishing Trips

You're a beginner, our experienced skipper will provide guidance on fishing techniques. The fishing trips are suitable for both individuals and small groups, and we can accommodate up to four people on each trip. Whether you're looking to catch mackerel, pollock, or even try your luck at catching a sea trout, our skipper will take you to the best fishing spots where you have a great chance of a successful catch. All fishing equipment is provided, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm and a sense of adventure.

Don't forget to dress warmly and bring wet weather gear, as the weather can be unpredictable out on the water. Sailings are subject to weather conditions and are at the skipper's discretion, so please check with us in advance to ensure the trip can go ahead. However, during the busy tourist season, we may be at sea for most of the day, so it may take some time for us to respond to your messages. Our boats are open boats and do not have a toilet on board, so please use the facilities available at our shore base before boarding the boat. We recommend wearing warm, waterproof clothing, as it can get cooler out on the water, and rain showers are common. We are located on our working croft (farm) on the shore of Loch Greshnorish, Edinbane, on the road from Portree to Dunvegan Castle.

In addition to our boat trips and fishing trips, we also offer 2-hour croft tours where you can meet our sheep and Highland cows or learn to knit or spin with the wool from our sheep. Please note that the croft tours are unsuitable for young children, as our farm is a working farm and not a petting farm.
