What skating lessons do you offer?

We offer learn to skate and figure skating lessons designed for tots, children, teens, and adults. We also have beginner learn to roller skate sessions.

When and where do classes meet?

Classes run at selected locations in Kitchener, and the rink type can vary by season with indoor rinks, outdoor rinks, and synthetic ice skating rinks. Summer 2026 sessions include Fridays and Saturdays with set time blocks.

How do I register, and what does it cost?

You can register through our skating lessons registration option. Summer 2026 beginner sessions are $149 per skater for tots ages 3-5 and $199 per skater for children ages 6-12 and adults 18+.

Skate Kitchener - Learn to Skate and Figure Skating Lessons

Learn to Skate and Figure Skating Lessons Waterloo program must wear a properly fitted ice skating helmet. Ski helmets are not allowed as they are not designed for ice skating protection. It is important for the safety of all skaters that proper equipment is worn.

2. Do I need to bring my own skates? Skates are not provided by Skate Kitchener – Learn to Skate and Figure Skating Lessons Waterloo. Skaters must bring their own skates to participate in our skating classes.

We recommend that skates are properly fitted to ensure the best experience on the ice.

3. How do I know which program is right for my child? Our learn to skate program is designed for beginners of all ages. If your child has never skated before, we recommend starting with our learn to skate program.

If your child is already able to skate on their own, they may be ready for our figure skating or power skating programs. If you are unsure which program is right for your child, feel free to reach out to us for more information and guidance.
