The Sissinghurst Cricket Club in Cranbrook has a fantastic Junior Section that provides an extensive cricket program for boys and girls between the ages of Under 9 to Under 18. This program, which has been accredited by the ECB, has been up and running for over a decade and currently boasts more than 120 junior members.
To ensure the best development for our young players, all age groups are managed and coached by coaches who are both ECB qualified and DBS compliant. This means that there is a consistent approach throughout the development of each player.
For those hardball cricketers, pre-season nets start at the end of January as we gear up for the outdoor season. Come late April, we kick off the outdoor season with coaching sessions and a full schedule of League, Cup, and Festival cricket for both boys and girls. We want to involve everyone at our club, so older members are also encouraged to join the senior teams and take part in weekend matches.
At Sissinghurst Cricket Club, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive club that offers cricket to players of all abilities. Our aim is to provide a fun and welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy the sport. We believe that cricket is for everyone, regardless of skill level.
Our Junior Section is particularly proud of the achievements of our members at both Area and County level representation. Additionally, we participate in competitive League and Cup competitions, giving our players the opportunity to showcase their skills and challenge themselves in the game.
