Chris here from the Sinclair Electrical and Refrigeration Events Centre, giving you the lowdown on what's happening at South Taranaki’s go-to spot for all things sports, rec, and events.

You might remember us as Sandfords Events Centre. We're still the same great facility, but with a fresh name and the same commitment to our local and wider community.

At Sinclair Electrical and Refrigeration Events Centre, we’ve got a ton of amenities to meet whatever you’re into. Whether it’s field sports, getting in a game at the indoor stadium, a hit on the squash or tennis courts, or keeping fit at the gym – we’ve got it sorted.

But we’re not just about sports. Our venue is spot on for corporate events and weddings too. We’ve got conference facilities and a fully licensed restaurant to cater for events big and small.

Our story started back in 1994 when four locals had the bright idea to create a new sports facility. With loads of support from tradesmen, businesses, and the community, the punak Sports and Recreation Trust was set up in 1993. After a bit of wrangling through a council referendum, building kicked off, and by 2003, thanks to generous sponsors like Sandfords Rural Carriers, our doors were open.

Sinclair Electrical and Refrigeration are now our naming rights sponsor, and we’re stoked. Our centre continues to thrive thanks to the generosity of local sponsors and funding agencies, and we couldn't be more grateful.
