Academy is Wexford's premier Jiu Jitsu facility, offering a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals of all ages and skill levels. Led by Black Belt Trevor Sweeney, the Academy is focused on mental health, fitness, self-defence, and competition, providing high-level Jiu Jitsu instruction to all members.
The Academy caters to a diverse range of individuals, from beginners to experienced practitioners, with a special emphasis on youth development. The Kids Programme, led by instructor Brendan Cloney, is designed for children aged 6 to 14, focusing on developing fitness, self-defence skills, confidence, balance, coordination, and more in a safe and professional setting.
No prior experience or fitness level is required to start training at Silverback Jiu Jitsu Academy. Interested individuals can easily get involved by messaging the Academy via their website, Facebook, or Instagram. The Academy offers a variety of classes throughout the week, including Fundamentals BJJ, Advanced Gi and No Gi classes, Kids BJJ classes, and open mat sessions for all members to practise and improve their skills.
