The Hart of Fleckney Bowls Club invites you to join them for an exciting and enjoyable game of short mat bowls. Located at the Fleckney Recreation Ground on Leicester Road in Leicestershire, the club offers a fantastic opportunity for interested players to get involved.
During Winter, the club opens its doors every Tuesday and Thursday from 2pm to 4:30pm, providing ample time for you to come and show off your bowling skills. But don't worry if these times don't suit you, because the club can also accommodate other playing times upon request.
When it comes to the game itself, the Hart of Fleckney Bowls Club has you covered. With two mats available, each boasting its own unique characteristics, you'll have the chance to experience different playing styles and strategies. This adds a delightful twist to the game and keeps things fresh and interesting.
If you're looking to take part in some friendly competition, the club offers two main bowling competitions. The Charles Vine Trophy is a season-long contest where sides are randomly selected at each session. Players are assigned a number of shots or ends for their side, and the ultimate winner is determined by their average score over the season.
In addition, we have the exciting Andrew Bishop Trophy. This is a Singles knock-out competition that sees players compete over 10 ends on each mat. The matches are scheduled at times separate from those of the Charles Vine Trophy, ensuring you get to experience a variety of opponents and playing conditions.
So, whether you're an experienced bowler or just starting out, the Hart of Fleckney Bowls Club welcomes you to come and join the fun. Get ready for a fun and challenging game of short mat bowls that will leave you with incredible memories and great new friends.
Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to be part of the action. Mark your calendars, spread the word, and come on down to the Hart of Fleckney Bowls Club at the Fleckney Recreation Ground. We can't wait to see you there!
