Our Owner and Head Instructor, Dave McFarland, brings a wealth of experience to the academy. With years of training and competing in Ju-Jitsu at local, regional, national, and international levels, Dave is a member of Team GB for Sport Ju-Jitsu. He is also affiliated with the JJIF, an organisation working with the IOC (International Olympic Committee) to include Sport Ju-Jitsu in the Olympic Games.
At Shinka Ju-Jitsu Academy, we pride ourselves on maintaining a safe and family-friendly environment. Our instructors are insured, have enhanced DBS checks, and are certified in Child Protection/Safeguarding. Additionally, we prioritise the well-being and safety of our students by ensuring our instructors are First Aid trained.
We offer a first lesson for free, allowing potential students to experience the positive and empowering atmosphere of our academy before committing to a membership. Our classes are designed to be engaging, fun, and educational, promoting personal growth and development in a supportive community.
