The minimum age to start training at Shinja-Kai Karate Oakbank is 8 years old. They have a diverse range of training programmes that cover various aspects of martial arts.

1. Basics: Punches, kicks, blocks, and stances.

2. Kata or Forms: Choreographed movements that incorporate the basic techniques.

3. Sparring: Touch contact sparring at lower levels, gradually progressing to higher levels as skill levels increase.

4. Self Defence: Techniques against unarmed and armed attackers.

5. Throws, Rolls, and Breakfalls: Essential techniques for self-defence and sparring.

6. Joint Locking and Choking Techniques: Effective techniques for quickly controlling an attacker.

Offering a well-rounded training experience, Shinja-Kai Karate Oakbank ensures that its students develop a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of karate. Classes are held at Woodside Institute Hall on Monday evenings at 6:30pm.
