Shining Horizons Therapeutic Riding Association

Founded in 1996, Shining Horizons Therapeutic Riding Association (SHTRA) is a horse riding school in Saint John that caters to youth with disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and neuromuscular disorders. Our program aims to provide a unique and enriching experience for our riders, focusing on physical, social, and emotional development through the use of trained therapeutic riding horses and highly qualified trainers.

At Shining Horizons, we believe in the transformative power of equine therapy and the connection between riders and horses. Our program not only offers therapeutic exercise but also serves as a source of enjoyment and recreational sport for our participants. We welcome individuals to become riders in our program, as well as volunteers who play a crucial role in supporting our activities.
