The dojo is led by two dedicated black-belt instructors who have a passion for teaching both recreational and competitive judo to individuals of all ages. Judo is renowned as the most widely practised martial art and the second most popular sport globally, offering a unique blend of physical and mental fitness training.
Andy Stoeckli, with a 4th degree black belt, has been deeply involved in judo for over forty years, starting his training at the age of 10 in Switzerland. Since moving to Canada, he has continued competing and instructing. Sabine Smolarek, holding a 3rd degree black belt, began her judo journey in Germany at the age of 14 and also has a background in Shotokan Karate. Together, Andy and Sabine bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their teaching.
Unfortunately, regular classes at SHIN BU KAN JUDO have been cancelled until further notice.
