At Shenyo, the focus is on holistic healing and promoting overall well-being. The team believes that true health comes from addressing all aspects of the individual – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. With this in mind, they offer a range of therapies and practises to support clients on their healing journey.

Shiatsu is one of the core therapies offered at Shenyo. Drawing from Japanese acupressure techniques, it works to release tension from muscles and tissues, gently mobilise joints, and stimulate the body's circulatory systems. Regular shiatsu sessions not only provide relaxation and a sense of vitality, but also help individuals become more in tune with their bodies, support emotional and mental well-being, and assist the body's natural ability to find balance.

Yoga is another integral part of Shenyo's offerings. Following the ancient Indian system, their focus is mainly on asana, or body-based practise. These classes have numerous health benefits, including increased strength, flexibility, and mobility, as well as calming and focusing the mind. The small, friendly, and supportive group of students makes it an ideal environment for beginners or those seeking a gentle and accessible approach to yoga.

Qi Gong, or Ki Gung, is a transformative Chinese practise that deeply affects both the body and mind. Combining simple movements and postures with mindfulness and breath, it has gained recognition for its effectiveness in supporting overall health. Shenyo offers a highly effective system taught by Patricia from the Long Men Pai Daoist tradition, as well as TaiJi Qi Gong Shibashi.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Shenyo has adapted its offerings to ensure the safety and well-being of their clients. Shiatsu sessions are now provided with additional hygiene measures and spacing between clients. Qi Gong classes are offered both online and in-person, and Patricia's movement classes, called “Do-In,” provide Japanese-style self-massage and self-well-being practises.

Shenyo was founded by Pat Leeson, an experienced and professionally qualified practitioner in Shiatsu, Qi Gong, and Yoga. With a genuine passion for sharing the benefits of these therapies, Pat aims to support those in need by offering them in a nurturing environment. While based in Woking, she also provides home visits to clients in Surrey and parts of southwest London.
