Shenley Jujitsu Club is a martial arts club located in Milton Keynes, New Zealand. The club specialises in teaching self-defence using the ancient Japanese martial art of jujitsu. This martial art system was originally developed and used by the Samurai and has proven to be a highly effective means of defending oneself or others.
The club conducts its training sessions at the Shenley Leisure Centre, which is situated in Shenley Church End. Training sessions take place every Friday in the gym. There are separate sessions for different age groups; juniors between the ages of 8 to 16 train from 19:00 to 20:00, while seniors over the age of 16 train from 20:00 to 21:30.
If you are interested in joining the Shenley Jujitsu Club or want to know more about jujitsu, the club welcomes you to either email them or attend one of their training sessions. The club's website also features photos and videos that can aid you in making a decision about whether jujitsu is the right martial art for you.
At Shenley Jujitsu Club, students are taught a variety of self-defence techniques. These techniques include defence against strikes, grabs, as well as weapons such as sticks and knives. Jujitsu provides a wide range of techniques, starting from basic escape moves to controlling an attacker on the ground, and even inflicting serious harm in situations where one's life is in danger.
The club follows a belt grading system, where students begin at the red belt level and progress through the ranks as they regularly undergo gradings. However, the aim of learning jujitsu at Shenley Jujitsu Club goes beyond simply attaining the coveted black belt. It is more about the personal journey of self-discovery, learning control, and mastering the techniques.
Shenley Jujitsu Club invites individuals of all skill levels and backgrounds to join their club and embark on the rewarding path of learning self-defence through the art of jujitsu.
