Sheffield City Boxing Club, formed in 2010 following the merger of Woodseats Boxing Club and Sharrow Boxing Club, has quickly gained an enviable reputation within the boxing community. Over the years, the club has produced numerous County Champions, National Champions, and most recently, three representatives for the Team GB development squad.
Conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the city centre, with ample free parking, Sheffield City Boxing Club is easily accessible to all. The club caters to individuals of every level, from beginners looking to get fit to elite fighters. With classes costing only 2. 50 per session, including non-contact sessions, the club warmly welcomes anyone who wants to try their hand in the ring in a safe and supportive environment.
In 2017, Sheffield City Boxing Club continued its outstanding success with five Yorkshire Elite finalists, three of whom became champions. They also had a National Elite Championships bronze medallist at cruiserweight, a Yorkshire Novice Champion, and two winners of Yorkshire and Northern Area belts at middleweight and light heavyweight. Currently, the club holds the English cruiserweight belt as well. Additionally, the club's university boxing team has also excelled, with seven boxers earning medals at the 2017 BUCS Championships, including three gold, three silver, and a bronze.
One of their boxers is currently on the England Discovery Pathway.
With over 20 boxers in their squad, Sheffield City Boxing Club competes in various competitions throughout the country. As a voluntary organisation, they rely entirely on funds raised within the club to support these athletes. They are always seeking the support of local businesses and organisations to continue their success.

Sheffield City Boxing Club has gained its renowned reputation by producing a diverse group of champions. Regardless of race, gender, or religion, the gym welcomes EVERYONE. All the coaches at the club are CRB checked and possess relevant coaching certificates issued by the ABAE. The club strongly believes in providing a safe and friendly environment for individuals of all ages and abilities to learn the art of boxing.
They have a ZERO TOLERANCE approach to bullying and always prioritise respect and discipline.
To experience boxing at Sheffield City Boxing Club, individuals can attend one of their sessions with no long-term commitment. Simply turn up on the night and pay at the door. Sessions cost 2. 50 per session and can include non-contact if required.
